Who’s backward now?

For a long time Western countries have been criticizing India for social issues such as condition of women and child marriages. But this time tables are turned. A 10 year old girl has given a birth to a baby in southern Spain. Authorities are now concerned whether the custody of the baby should be given to the parents, as the father of the baby is also a minor.

Medical experts warn that because young girls are still growing themselves, they are at higher risk during pregnancy. However, in this case both the mother and baby are healthy. But still is this danger worth taking for?

First, having sex at such a young age and then giving a birth too. Hats off to Europe.
