I saw this bench and I liked the “wooden” look it was giving. Also the way this series of benches was laid out, felt quite attractive to me. I took my camera and thought of clicking it, but I wanted to give the whole scene a different perspective. I tried taking the photo from many different angles, this one being my favorite.

This particular view is giving an unusual depth to the whole image. The prominent foreground somehow pushes you to observe the little things in the background which normally you would have ignored. Tilting your head a bit does make things interesting sometimes.

I lost my camera today. I cant explain how I am feeling. It is just a killing emotion striking through my heart. I don’t know how I will manage without it. Its like I lost something very important to me. Feel like crying out loud and cursing myself for my f***ing carelessness. I have no [...]

I have no idea how I am going to keep this blog alive till I get my next one, but lets hope I have some decent shots in my archive to post for the next one month or so.

If you feel that the quality if my posts is going down, please keep in mind that I would be posting all the reserves now.

Rest in peace – a piece of my heart.

Today I am posting the 100th post of the blog. These hundred images wont have been possible without the most cherished of my possessions; my camera. I have basically used three different cameras for clicking images for the blog.

Images till post no 38 were clicked using my first camera Canon A630. I used the camera for over 6 months before exchanging it for another one.

Post no 38 onwards are clicked by the camera I am presently having, Sony DSC H2.

A couple of images, including the one posted today have been clicked using the camera of my cell phone – Nokia N95 8GB.

These babies have helped me live my passion. I value them more than any other of my material possessions. I dedicate this post to them.

Birthday is a day which comes once a year for each one us. We plan for the day, get loads of wishes from our loved ones, cherish the gifts we receive and mostly end the day partying with friends or family. This day signifies many things; we’ve grown a year older – we’ve consumed one more year from the total amount allotted to us – we’ve managed to live through another set of 365.4 days – and many other sundry thoughts.

I went through all these feelings and many more. After all, it was my birthday today.

I took this photo on-board my flight from Mexico to Frankfurt. When almost everyone was in deep sleep, the shining spotlight on one of the seats was giving a perfect “clickable” view. While this man was busy reading something in the wee hours, I was busy clicking the photographs. After all, there was nowhere else I could have found my “image for the day”. By the time I would have got down from the plane, it would have already been 17th Jan :)

Benazir Butto – brutally assassinated.

I have been closely following Pakistani politics from the time Nawaz and Benazir announced their return to their mother-land. Somehow Benazir always seemed to be ray of hope amidst all the chaos prevalent in the country.

The headlines at rediff came as BIG shock to me. I just couldn’t believe the cruelty and brutality displayed by the assassins in extinguishing the last strong flame of hope in Pakistani politics. Extremists who didn’t want her to return to power again, extremists who couldn’t stand a ‘woman’ rule the country, extremists who pose a grave danger to towards the destabilization of the entire Pakistani nation, have at last, in their second attempt, succeeded in their heinous plans.

I pay my condolences towards a brave lady, who dared to enter a well of fire and laid her life fighting for a cause.
