White Tiger (Panthera tigris) is a tiger with a genetic condition that nearly eliminates pigment in the normally orange fur although they still have dark stripes. Compared to orange tigers without the white gene, white tigers tend to be larger both at birth and at full adult size. The unusual coloration of white tigers has made them popular in zoos and entertainment that showcases exotic animals. (Courtesy Wikipedia)

I shot this one at the Africam Safari in Puebla. It was brought from the tiger reserve in Bengal, India.

Talent they say can be found hidden anywhere. It doesnt need big concert halls, nor does it needs widespread appreciation. All it needs is a small world of itself where it can flourish and fly with it’s wings spread wide.

This man whom I found with his guitar sitting in the mid of the road was a perfect example of lost-in-his-own-little-world syndrome. He wasn’t sitting there for alms. Neither did he care if anyone was listening to him. All he cared was about him and his passion towards his music. When asked for a photo, he was all ready with a strange “pacified” look on his face.

We were roaming around the dry brown grounds adjacent to the pyramid of Cholula to see the different archaeological sites. The ground was parched and dry with little or no signs of greenery. But among all that “lifelessness” I saw a couple of purple patches from a distance. As I went near I could see these small purple flowers blooming in between of the gloom.

Its amazing how nature exhibits such contrasting forms of life in a single ecological subsystem.

I had to go down to the ground’s level to get this shot. Click here to see me taking the photo. This was clicked by a friend.

He lay majestically out in the open – hard as a rock. We were moving around him for about 10 minutes and he didn’t even wink his eye. He just lay down in complete oblivion with everything happening around him.

But don’t mistake this animal for being lazy just because it appears that way. Rhinos are capable of running much faster than humans & in an open battle field can easily overcome any hostile enemy.

This broken car was kept right in the middle of the tiger park at the Africam Safari in Puebla. I think the intention was to give an impression of a vehicle attacked and destroyed by a pride of lions. Though it looked more likely an escape attempt by animals from a caged vehicle, the creativity of the mind behind it is really commendable.

We sometime get so lost in our own little circle of comfort that we start taking things for granted. We don’t even realize that some things which come so naturally for us are luxury for many people. The reality strikes (that too occasionally) when we see people surviving in much worse conditions. All they have is a temporary shed on their heads, small hungry mouths to feed and a really tough life to live.

If you see the photo carefully, you will realize many realities of life.

We were having a boat ride on the lake in the midst of Africam Safari at Puebla when I saw this tree from a distance. The tree, with it’s perfect shape, eye catching greenery & a beautiful shadow falling on the flowing water of the lake was giving a picturesque view. Though the boatman advised me not to stand without having one hand as a grip on the boat, the result was worth taking the risk :)

This is from the archives of “Africam Safari”, Puebla. I don’t know the name of the animal, but it appeared to be some kind of wild goat.

I have usually seen such stills at Discovery channel or while watching the NGC or Animal planet. A thirsty animal sipping water at the lake side oblivious of the evil intentions of the predators hiding nearby. Suddenly a crocodile launches itself from beneath the water and grabs the animal’s throat in it’s vicious jaws. The next moment the crock disappears inside the lake along with it’s prey.

As for me, I clicked this one while having a boat ride in a lake at Africam Safari in Puebla.
