It seems to be autumn for “some trees” here in Mexico. I mentioned “some trees” because not all trees are shedding their leaves, only some selected ones. In the morning when I walk to my office, I can see the side walks covered with colorful dry leaves.

Last weekend, I decided to have a ground oriented shot of them. I had to lie down straight on my stomach, on the footpath, with many people passing by, to take this photo. But the effort was worth it.

I saw this log lying in a nearby park among dense, green vegetation. Given the amount of wild grass growing all around and the deserted corner of the park where this log was lying, it was a bit difficult to reach the place and take the photo.

I had spotted this log a couple of days back, on my way to office. At that time only I decided to come over here on the weekend and take the shot.

My plane was passing over the Atlantic Ocean when i had a peep outside the window. I could see numerous tiny white flakes scattered all over the sea. Given their number, it was hard to imagine them as ships or boats sailing away in the waters. When i couldn’t figure out what it really was, i stopped thinking and went back into my slumbers. Around half an hour later, I was woken up by some camera clicks from the seat right in front of me. I peeped out again and the scene was absolutely spectacular.

The whole sea was covered in white. Large sheets of snow could be seen everywhere. There were icy mountains (at least thats what they appeared to be), plains, rivers and a hundred other designs. I took around four different shots.

Once I downloaded it to my system, it never looked like a photograph anymore. It appeared like a painting. I felt as if someone has just dipped a brush in blue and white and painted the whole sky. So clear and so colorful, straight out of the dreams, almost surreal. Mother nature truly is an artist.

Yet again, I feel i was lucky enough to reach my hotel room just in time to take this shot. After 10 minutes, everything was dark. :)

The sinking sun was throwing its orange rays laterally on the clouds to paint the whole sky with a magical touch of mixed colors. It was literally looking like a painter’s canvass.

I sometimes feel lucky to capture such shots. I feel lucky because I am at the right place at the right time. I was just having an evening walk on the by-lanes of the city when I saw this ‘perfect’ sight of the full moon rising in the dark cover of late evening. I just stood there for some time and admired the beauty.

I took around five different shots, but thanks to the ‘night-blindness’ of my camera, this is the best I could get. As D00d has rightly said, somethings are just for the eyes to admire.
