Last weekend I got a chance to visit this castle very near to Puebla. I heard about the castle from a friend in office and saw a picture very similar to this one in his photo album. At that time itself I decided that I have to see the place and have a similar (maybe better) photo in my collection. Though the beauty of castle and the picturesque surroundings gave me little chance to experiment, the final image was quite satisfactory.

This is something I really want to do & a place where I really want to spend a whole day; being with my friends, out in the jungle, perched on high rocks and diving into a running stream of water. I always wanted to go to such a place and enjoy in the lap of mother nature.

When I saw these kids living my dream, I realized that maybe I am too old to do all this stuff now, or am I ?

I spotted this butterfly while walking out of the archeological zone in Cuetzalan. It was hopping from one flower to another and I had to follow it for around 5 minutes to get some decent shots. After a couple of shots it seemed as if she was posing for me She gave me some 10 different poses and all can be classified as perfect “butterfly macros”

When I finished clicking the photos and returned to my friend to show her how they came, she told me that the local people who were standing nearby and were observing me chasing the butterfly, were laughing out loud while I was busy in my photo-endeavor They must be thinking that this tourist from the city has never seen a butterfly sitting on flowers But as I always say – “Who cares as long as you get a nice photo”

The moment I saw this stream, I remembered a poster which used to hang in my friend’s house in Delhi. I felt as if I have been to this place many times before. It had a sense of unusual familiarity. Big rocks covered with moss & a white stream of water making its way through them; a perfect setting for your drawing room’s wallpaper.

We were having a boat ride on the lake in the midst of Africam Safari at Puebla when I saw this tree from a distance. The tree, with it’s perfect shape, eye catching greenery & a beautiful shadow falling on the flowing water of the lake was giving a picturesque view. Though the boatman advised me not to stand without having one hand as a grip on the boat, the result was worth taking the risk

Chapultepec is almost a jungle in the midst of Mexico City. Dense vegetation and the whole area covered with a thick shed of trees. It has spiraling roads penetrating through it where you can see people walking, running and cycling throughout the day. Even after dark, you can see plenty of people roaming around oblivious of the scary haunted look it gives at that time of the day.

This was a security post at one of the entrances of the park. The early morning sunlight was just hitting the place when I took this pic.

Though this image looks strikingly similar with the one I posted before, scattered, I couldn’t resist posting it because the sheer sight just stuck to my eyes.

You go out early in the morning and you can see these beautiful colored leaves spread all over on the streets and the by-lanes. I love it when I walk through these streets covered with dry colored leaves.

Standing alone, under the heat of the blazing sun, devoid of all greenery, this dry, thorny tree gives a more impressive look in a yellow tint. Compared to the one with natural colors, this photo seemed to have a stronger effect.

Mother nature has incorporated symmetry in almost every second thing it has created. Ranging from magnanimous symmetrical creations like our solar system and the milky way itself to miniature things likes thorns growing on a dry tree’s branch. You can find it everywhere, the best explorable example being the human body itself.

Symmetry after all is the best arrangement for long lasting stability.

Right after a light spell of rain, the sun started emerging from the dark black clouds. The sun rays pierced through the ominous blanket of water laden thunder-bowls and hit the earth with a divine like appearance. It seemed as though God has thrown his light straight from the heavens upon the panic stricken earthlings.
