The other day when I went to my friend’s apartment for lunch, I saw these bright, fresh fruits very precariously arranged on a wooden platter-cum-basket like thing. Among all the other decorative items arranged in the room, I found this Apple basket the best candidate to be captured by my lens.

The shine and the freshness which was just radiating out of the fruits, made them so tempting that you just feel like to grab one and take a big juicy bite.

Sitting right in the middle of a busy sideway leading to the beach, trying to focus your camera on a what’s-so-special-in-that type of brown wild grass, you take a risk of appearing weird and insane to the people passing by. In the end, the risk was worth being taken as I ended up getting this crisp and clear macro.

Nothing more than just an abstract thought of mine. I came back from office and was thinking about the image of the day when I saw the tray of eggs in the drawer. I decided to click something abstract. So I tried arranging the eggs here and there but nothing was fitting in well. Finally I came up with this, which in the end turned out to be quite nice.

I decided to do some sketching today. Just took out my colors, took a sheet of paper and put some colors here and there. This is what I ended up making. Nothing with too much depth or an artistic touch, but just an expression of a thought floating in my mind.

Then I decided to combine the sketching with some photography. Took some shots from different angles, creating varying magnitudes of depth and varying effects of light shades.

Here is how the full sketch looks like.

Here are some more shots of the same

I tried taking a close-up, but due to bright sunlight, couldn’t get the best results. Still, it was good enough to be put here. :)

On the way back from office in the evening, I decided not to take a bus, as I usually do. I decided to walk, because it was still sunny and the weather was quite conducive for a lazy stroll. It was then when I saw a heap of broken glass lying on the side of the road. The rays of the evening sun were making the glass shine like diamonds, with a tinge of orange and yellow in the refracted rays.

Though I couldn’t manage to capture the exact appearance in terms of color, but still I am pretty satisfied with the texture of the image. I took several shots. Of all of them, I liked two the most. One I have posted above, and the other you can see here.

While preparing for dinner, I kept the frozen green peas in warm water to make them return to their original texture. While I was frying the onions and cutting the capsicum, the peas were getting soft at the other corner of the room. Once the onions were ready, I returned to the peas to drain the water off and put them in the curry. As I came back to them, I saw this beautiful pattern of vivid green near-circles floating in the water. The next moment, I had the camera in my hand.

Beauty sometimes hides itself in small things and invites you to find it, through observant eyes. To a careless view it wont be even visible. But once discovered, it gives such a joy to your heart.
