The flowers were tiny and the insect was even tinier. But I knew that a close up would look perfectly fine. Its nice to see such small things in a larger perspective. When presented this way we tend to look at the details more closely and come to know about things which we didnt even know existed.

Just look at the color pattern on the insect’s back. If it hadn’t been this photo, I would have never known that the insect actually looks so beautiful.

Things start looking pretty different and you start paying attention to details once you get this close to your subjects. A flower which would otherwise look elegant in its “entirety” also becomes a “maze” of beauty when seen this close.

I have clicked many photos of different types of roses; some from a distance and some macros. But this time I decided to get really up and close. The focal length of my lens didn’t allow me to get the real crispness I would have wished but still, I got pretty close to what I expected.

One particular shot I always wished to have in my photos was a close up of a spider & for long I didnt get a chance to click it. I tried many times with domestic spiders lingering on the walls in my house but none of them gave me real pleasure. Finally this spotted creature which had always eluded me got captured by my lens in a pretty decent shot.

Given the not-so-macro-savvy kit lens which came with my Nikon D80, the details in the shot were not so bad after all :)

Imagine the world without colors. It would be like living in a black & white movie. You dont have to stand in front of the wardrobe every morning choosing which trousers will match which shirt. Which shoes will match with the dress you are wearing, what color should your bag be so that it matches with your dressing. It will remove many unnecessary inequalities in the society cauz the skin coloro would be something non-existent. At the same time it will make our lives so bland. Everything will look of the same tone and we’ll loose all the diversity.

Anyways, thats all philosophical thought process. These small balls of wool reminded me of the colorful world around me. They told me that my life is beautiful not because of only a single color, but due to the beautiful combination of all differnt shades which creep into my life every now and then.

These 3 nails stuck into the wall just in front of my front door have been in my attention for a long time now. Today I decided to get something out of them. I was trying to get the focus on the head butts, but that was making the background to come in focus too. Its high time a buy a nice macro lens :)

While I was busy getting the right angle with my half my body kneeling against the wall my neighbors must be thinking – What the heck is this guy up to ?? !! But who cares as long as I am getting nice pictures :)

I was having a walk in the garden at the front of my house when I saw this squirrel staring at something which I couldn’t exactly figure out. Fortunately I had my camera with me & thanks to the photo-fancy animal who didnt shy away from the camera I got this cute shot.

Standing on its rear limbs, it was really a nice way to pose in front of the camera.

Nothing much to write about this one, except that these fruits were lying just besides that heap of green lemons which I posted earlier. :)

I was cutting some spring onions for dinner the other day when it crossed my mind that these green fresh leaves will make a good photo. I just left everything as it was on the cutting board and clicked some photos from different angles. The ones taken from the top were not looking any special and didn’t impress me at all. But this one, came quite well with a lot of depth and the focus nicely sitting on the few pieces just in the front.

It feels really nice when I am able to see beauty and of course some ‘clickable’ material in small things around me :)

I took this photo while on a visit to my local supermarket for the weekly grocery shopping. This heap of green juicy lemons caught my eye at the first glance. I abandoned the trolley which I was carrying, took out my camera and took a couple of shots.

As has happened many times before, people around me were giving me a what-a-freak kind of look. But who cares about the people when a nice picture is at stake :) As I always say, see the full image to get the real idea.
