I saw a big flock of white birds perched on top of corn plants in a field while driving back to Puebla. I stopped to take some photos but due to the distance of the field from the main road, I wasn’t able to get a nice view. So, I decided to enter the fields and take a shot from a bit closer to the birds. But I wouldnt have even stepped ten steps forward when somehow the birds sensed me and started flying in panic.

Though I couldn’t shoot them sitting in the fields I got some shots with them spread all across the sky :)

I spent my Saturday in a different way this time. I just sat in the middle of a park watching people and the different kinds of things they do. It was there when I saw an old lady selling some bird feed. People were buying small packets from her and feeding to the numerous pigeons which were flocking the area. One of the main reasons for people to feed the pigeons was to give their children an opportunity to play with the birds.

I captured one such moment in my camera. Its real fun to observe people, believe me.

It was a cloudy day and I was walking past a sugarcane field near my home in Lucknow, when I saw a group of peacocks at a distance. As I was standing there and deciding on the appropriate angle to shoot, I saw one of them open their wings and dance. It was a really a magical sight.

As this lone peacock was dancing, the rest of them were singing in unison.

Love is one pure feeling in this world which binds one and all; humans and animals alike. There is no better view of nature than to see two souls entangled in the magical strings of love. Love someone & you find yourself living in a completely different world, where all it matters is how you can love more.

I captured these love birds in my camera from my apartment in Mexico City while they were busy singing the love song :)

It was a humid Sunday afternoon in Mexico City & I was walking past my office building when I noticed this bird quenching it’s thirst at a nearby fountain. If I hadn’t actually seen it flying and then landing at the place, it would have been difficult for me to even notice it, given its color being perfectly in sync with the background.

I had to be very careful not to scare it but still get a close enough shot.

This is shot from the window of my previous apartment, Lombardo Suites. Remember the post “Birds of a nest” ? This is a close up of the same bird. I have spent a lot of time observing the activities of these birds during the weekends, as their nest was just in front of my room’s window and I could easily just lie down and watch them as long as I could.

In this particular shot, the bird seems to be staring right into my camera :)

This was my 3rd trip to Africam safari. The photograph which you can see in the header of the blog is of the same group of birds but clicked during my first trip.

I had just checked in my hotel room when I opened the curtains covering the big front window. It was not a pleasant scene in its entirety as there was nothing else than blank building walls to be seen. It was then, when I noticed these birds nestled in this heap of brown straw sitting cosily and enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun. Most probably they are in the process of hatching their eggs with the male bird just giving company to his beloved.

I had to climb over my bed and take the photo to get a proper view. I see them daily, in the morning when I wake up, in the afternoon when I come for lunch and then again in the evening when I return from office. Never have I seen this nest with a lone bird. These two love birds seem to be always together.

“Pigeon” is the most common variety of “road-side” birds in India. I went to a nearby temple when I saw this group of pigeons feeding on the grains sprinkled by some devotees. Such flocks of birds feeding on the offerings given by people can be seen at many places throughout the city of Delhi and for that matter, all over India.
